There is a particular kind of boat that draws the eye in any harbor - older, wooden, built with a care that modern fiberglass cannot replicate. This is one of those boats. A dream. Moored in sheltered water at Saltsjöbaden, it sits perfectly still. The painting is about the romance of the classic sailboat, the warm tones of the varnished hull. Its streamlined shape suggests idyllic stories of unforgettable summers in the archipelago.

Painted in oils with careful attention to form and light, this is one of the more

For many would-be sailors, this would indeed be a 'dreamboat.'
